I'm not arguing, I'm stating my point of view. And today I am waiting for a decision from the president, an answer to the question that we discussed with him - the fate of Oleg Sentsov. The President said that he would think about this problem. Today I remind you of this because, like many others, I saw what happened in the country on Sunday.

It seems to me that the state is making a big mistake by treating young people, schoolchildren and students so familiarly. I am a university person. I graduated from the course at the Kabardino-Balkarian University, we have a director's workshop there, rector Yuri Kambulatovich ( Altudov. — Note. ed.) is here in this room. I have worked with our students for several years and I know the mood of young people very well. Not only there, but also in the central part of the country.

You can not start a civil war among schoolchildren and students. We need to hear them. None of our politicians wants to hear them. Nobody talks to them. They are afraid to do it. Why? This can no longer be tolerated. And I want to address our deputies. To male deputies, because women will not accept such a law. If you saw what happened on Sunday, then you know how many victims were... When girls and schoolgirls were roughly grabbed by the arms and legs and dragged somewhere. It was violence.

You and I must do everything to ensure the humanitarian development of our society and our youth. Because everything that is connected with the substitution of enlightenment and education with some kind of religious dogmas, everything that is connected with the struggle and the introduction of the country's religious institutions into the civil and political space, leads to the collapse of the country. I want to draw attention to this.

I can be Orthodox even at the North Pole, but I have Russia here. And only here. If people here begin to sort out some such relationships, then everything else will cease to have any meaning at all. And the last thing: I am one of those directors whose films many do not like. Well, in general, not very show. Or not shown at all. It's hard. It's a shame to admit, and some, the last of all the films, I have to do outside the Fatherland.

A month ago, I received a paper from the Ministry of Culture stating that the Ministry of Culture agrees with the decision not to show, for example, the Russian Ark in the Russian Federation. Some people have already called me... I won't give names. You all perfectly understand. I have already been called that maybe some of my other films will fall under this stigma. Well, I know that in Chechnya they are not allowed to be shown. But Chechnya is a special sector that has little to do with our country.

In the last days of the outgoing year, at the request of a friend, I had to roll with him to Russia. From Donetsk to Bryansk.

I do have some impressions. Good and others. Of the good ones - the state of federal highways, especially paid ones. About them, and unpleasant: after driving about three hundred kilometers on toll roads, we paid more than three hundred rubles. That is more than a ruble per kilometer. And this despite the fact that every car owner already pays taxes on road maintenance. Trucks are even more fun: Plato's sun shines hauntingly on them!

I noticed only two exits to an alternative, free route. Perhaps he missed it - they drove at night, and even in the fog, but most likely they simply are not advertised so that fewer drivers avoid the pleasure of unloading their wallet with an additional dues.

So, like it or not, we moved along toll roads. Their coverage is very good. Almost the entire length of the toll section of the route is illuminated, and the speed limit of 110 km / h is simply pleasing. An abundance of gas stations of all colors and prices. There were not even a single dealer in striped sticks, commonly referred to as gibedadeshniks, which made the traffic situation indescribably easier.

But on the way back, even on a section of the road that can be used for nothing, such a meeting resulted in a protocol for us with a fine of 500 rubles. For forgetting to turn on the light. At the same time, the gibede himself ... in short - the traffic cop advised not to pay the fine, but to peacefully go home. Apparently, there are normal guys among them, although as an exception. There will be a couple more words about him below, but on a different occasion.

Bryansk itself seemed gray and faceless. The only bright spots are the buildings of rare new buildings. During the entire stay, I did not see a single smile. The condition of the roads was shocking. If you drive off the main roads of the city into the middle of the blocks or into the industrial zone, you find yourself in a road hell! Haven't seen this in a long time! The pits are 20 centimeters deep, the speed of movement is almost at zero. You don’t drive such “roads”, you overcome them.

But I was pleased with the behavior of the Bryansk drivers. Above all praise! For all the kilometers that we drove in the city, we never met rudeness. And this is despite the constant traffic jams and the complete absence of markings.

This once again suggests that the people and officials of Putin's camarilla live in different galaxies. And the people have not yet turned into such cattle as the capitalist ministers are.

During the trip, and we stayed there for four days, we had to deal with many people. A total of ten people. All of them, having learned that we were from Donetsk, began to ask about what was really going on in our country, saying that in Russian news about Donbass, all was quiet and smooth.

I had to talk about what was happening here, that the war was and is still going on, that people are dying every day, houses and infrastructure are collapsing. It was said that during the Minsk cabal, mostly ruins remained from the north-west of Donetsk, and many villages and towns, on the so-called separation line, have long been gone. They also talked about the fact that Putin’s Ukrainian partners, with his tacit consent, completely ignore the implementation of the Minsk agreement, using it for their own benefit: strengthening, rearming and pulling their repaired and restored tanks and other heavy equipment to our territories.

What was remarkable about these conversations? In all the stories, I wittingly or unwittingly focused on who is to blame for the current state of affairs in Donetsk and Luhansk. After all, for almost four years there has been a massacre without moving forward and without the ability to fully protect their people and their cities from the Nazis. And this fault lies entirely with Putin, one movement of whose eyebrows would be enough for everything to end with the Victory of Donbass and the liberation of our land from Ukrainian punishers. For some Russians, such a formulation of the question was new. They rolled their eyes and tried to dissuade me, they say, Putin is already jumping out of his pants to help the Donbass: he sends whole caravans of “white Kamaz trucks”, with superhuman efforts restrains hordes of crests advancing on our cities, and finally - Putin is a patriot from patriots, they say everything that he does, it’s “so necessary”, they say, it’s just that we (the inhabitants of Donbass) don’t know everything, but we understand even less.

So, when you start to give some arguments in response to their cheers-Putin nonsense, you notice that they have nothing to cover up and the facts cited baffle them. People, recovering from the shock, begin to see clearly. They ask if we have Russian troops, who is actually in charge of the processes in the Donbass, who oversaw the holding of the referendum, and why we did not vote for joining Russia, but put up a poll on independence.

Only one out of a dozen interlocutors did not believe the facts and left offended at me, who did not understand Putin's subtle strategy. With the rest it was possible to communicate constructively. A special surprise was the conversation with the gibede mentioned above ... in general, a traffic cop. He asked if I was from Donetsk itself and, having received an affirmative answer, said that they knew that our war did not stop for a minute. They know that Putin and Lavrov are lying about peace in the Donbass. They know about the Minsk agreement and also consider it a betrayal of the Russians. He said that not everyone in Russia agrees with Putin’s policy, which is beneficial only to his “friends”, that the country is getting poorer before our eyes, that many hope that the elections will change something (at this moment we laughed together). And that the number of those who disagree is steadily growing. When parting, he walked me to the very car, at parting he wished a speedy Victory to Donbass.

But here's what surprised me. Rumor has it that the police (the hand does not agree to write "police") in the Russian Federation have good salaries. The figures were 30,000. For Donetsk, this is space money! And in Russia people are not happy. This suggests that the cost of living is growing, that the amount of 30 thousand no longer saves from the consciousness of their deprivation, and people understand who is to blame in the first place and do not hesitate to call the name of this subhuman even to a stranger.

Therefore, you begin to doubt whether Putin really has such a high rating? Really so many people still have not been able to figure out hu really have this Mr.? Is everyone happy with everything and no one notices anything around? Or just trying not to notice, so as not to sleep quickly?
